Summer 2026 SUNY Broome Social

Back-to-school isn’t just for the kids! At SUNY Broome, we’re welcoming adult learners with our SUNY Broome Social for Students & Families on Wednesday, July 22. Enjoy FREE food, ice cream, and activities, and learn about FREE community college!

Join us to celebrate New York State’s Free Community College initiative (or SUNY Reconnect) and discover how prospective students can take advantage of this exciting opportunity. From 3 – 6:30 p.m.  prospective students will enjoy FREE food, ice cream, and entertainment, while learning about FREE community college!

This family-friendly evening is on us! We’ll have meals from The Kitchen Counter, ice cream and kid-friendly activities including face painting. Staff will be on hand to talk with prospective students and get them set up for success ahead of the Fall 2026 semester, beginning Aug. 24.

While our SUNY Broome Social event is especially geared toward adult learners (age 25 – 55) hoping to take advantage of SUNY Reconnect, we welcome all prospective students and their families.
